“SOLACE” – The Solace Holistic Training Academy
“Customer” – You: the student/client
Booking Terms & Conditions:
- When you make a provisional booking and pay a deposit, a place will be reserved on the course
- To retain your place on the course, you must pay the balance of the course fee two weeks prior to the course commencement date. This can be paid online (via PayPal), cash, cheque or by bank transfer
- On acceptance by SOLACE, the booking will be treated as an order and we will issue confirmation appropriate to the chosen payment option
Upon receipt of your confirmation, attending instructions will be sent to you.
The deposit is due when you make a booking. Deposits are non-refundable. The balance is due no later than two weeks prior to the course start date. Payment is due immediately should the booking be made within two weeks of the course start date.
Course acceptance requirements
For practitioner certification, customers must sign a declaration form confirming that they hold ITEC (or equivalent) NVQ level 3 in A&P and Massage and that they are professionally insured. You may be required to produce evidence of this before being accepted onto a SOLACE course. SOLACE withholds the right to refuse acceptance of any customer who fails to submit a declaration or produce satisfactory documentation within seven working days after being requested by SOLACE, and levy an administration fee of £25.00.
Following successful completion of the course you will be given verbal feedback by your tutor on the day. When you have successfully completed the course you will be sent the diploma or certificate. In the event of your being unsuccessful (also determined by your tutor), written feedback and an action plan will be provided to help you achieve success on a subsequent occasion. Is such a case customers will be advised on a follow-up assessment route free of charge.
All payments are non-transferable unless agreed with SOLACE at least 2 weeks prior to the commencement of the course. A refund of 50% of the course fee will be repaid if cancellation is received in writing prior to two weeks before the course. Course fees for cancellations within two weeks of the course date will not be refunded.
Entry to examinations is at the discretion of the tutor. This will be based upon satisfactory completion of all written coursework and course attendance. You will be required to demonstrate your understanding of knowledge and skills both practically and orally.
SOLACE reserves the right to improve the specification and format of its courses for the benefit of customers without notice. Tutors may be changed without prior notice, to allow for other teaching commitments, leave or illness.
The location and date of the course will be as advised to the customer at the time of booking. SOLACE reserves the right to change the location of the course and will advise the customer as soon as any change is known.
SOLACE reserves the right to cancel or reschedule any course and will advise the customer as soon as any change is known. SOLACE will use all reasonable endeavours to avoid changes of this nature but should this be unavoidable, SOLACE will refund all monies in full paid by the customer, or at the customer’s option apply all monies to a rescheduled or alternative course.
Warranty and Liability
The customer accepts that it is their responsibility to verify that the courses are suitable for their requirements and that they have the necessary level of competence and prerequisite qualifications where necessary to be able to achieve the objectives of the course.
SOLACE liability for loss and damage shall be limited to a claim for damages. The maximum aggregate liability will be the charges for the course out of which the loss or damage has arisen. SOLACE will not be liable for indirect, special or consequential loss (including loss of anticipated profit or data), howsoever arising, even if it has been advised of such potential loss.
The copyright and all other intellectual property rights in all course materials shall remain the sole and exclusive property of SOLACE or, in the case of a course developed by a Partner of SOLACE, the Partner organisation which will be specified on the course material. All course materials are supplied to the Customer for the sole purpose of the Customer attaining competency to practice. In applying to become a student with SOLACE, the Customer undertakes that he/she will not copy or permit the copying of any course materials, nor disclose any course content or materials or permit any disclosure or sell or hire the same to third parties. Use of any course materials, media or any other content supplied by SOLACE to the customer for any other purpose other than use within a SOLCAE training course is strictly prohibited.
Terms of service
SOLACE is a complementary health Practice and training academy.
SOLACE reserves the right to suspend or cancel a customer’s access to any or all services provided by SOLACE when SOLACE decides that the account has been inappropriately used or otherwise.
SOLACE reserves the right to change prices of items or services at any time, however all pricing is guaranteed for the period of prepayment.
All prices shown are in GB pounds sterling (£) and inclusive of VAT.
All payments must be in GB pounds sterling. In order to streamline our accounting procedures and reduce costs, SOLACE runs a limited number of payment options.
SOLACE accepts online payments via PayPal.
Payment by cheque is accepted, however SOLACE cannot guarantee that a service will be provided until any received cheques have been received bank clearance.
If your cheque is returned by the bank as unpaid for any reason, SOLACE reserves the right to levy an administration charge of £25.00 in addition to any bank charges incurred by SOLACE.
The customer’s right to cancel with or without notice
Customers have a right to cancel an order within 7 days of SOLACE accepting payment. Customers have a right to cancel a course at any time; such action is subject to SOLACE terms with regard to refunds and cancellation.
SOLACE reserves the right to cancel a course at any time. In this event customers will be entitled to a full refund.
Delivery and provision of service
We shall use our reasonable endeavours to make available to you at all times the products and services advertised on our website, but we shall not, in any event, be liable for interruptions of service caused by server downtime, upgrades and maintenance work.
We aim to contact customers within two working days of payment being received.
We endeavour to respond to any complaints within five working days. Complaints should be made in writing by email in the first instance to firstname.lastname@example.org
The customer agrees to defend, indemnify, save and hold SOLACE harmless from any and all demands, liabilities, losses, costs and claims, including reasonable legal fees asserted against SOLACE, its associates, its customers, officers and employees, that may arise or result from any service provided or performed or agreed to be performed, or any subsequent service provided by customers, its agents, employees or assigns. The customer agrees to defend, indemnify and hold harmless SOLACE against liabilities arising out of; (1) any material supplied by customer infringing or allegedly infringing on the proprietary rights of a third party and; (2) copyright infringement as described within these terms and conditions
SOLACE makes no warranties of any kind, expressed or implied for services we provide. This includes loss of data resulting from delays, and any/all service interruptions caused by SOLACE and its associates. SOLACE reserves the right to revise its policies at any time.
These terms and conditions do not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.
We are committed to protecting your privacy. We will only use the information that we collect about you lawfully (in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998).
You may opt to refuse any marketing email from us in the future.
We will never collect sensitive information about you without your explicit consent. The information we hold will be accurate and up to date. You can check the information that we hold about you by emailing us. If you find any inaccuracies we will delete or correct it promptly.
The personal information which we hold will be held securely in accordance with our internal security policy and the law.
