'NEW' VTCT DIPLOMA IN HEALTH, SAFETY AND HYGIENE FOR COMPLEMENTARY THERAPIES
Successful completion of this qualification enables the candidate to support health, safety and security in the workplace with regard to ensuring the safety of customers, themselves and colleagues. This is achieved by addressing the more obvious health and safety issues and also through the use of risk assessment to identify potential hazards. It also enables candidates to ensure that attention is given to employment standards involving professionalism, equality of treatment for all customers, community involvment, hygienic practices, cost-effectiveness, protection from physical and mental abuse, and ways in which the image of the workplace can be enhanced.
VTCT requires that these units be covered either before commencement of, or in conjunction with, any VTCT course. This can be undertaken as a home study course with attendance for a multiple choice exam. IF YOU HAVE THE OLD DII20 (VRO2 AND VR74) Achieved within 3 years YOU WILL ACHIEVE APL(accredited prior learning) BUT WILL BE REQUIRED TO SIT THE MULTIPLE CHOICE TEST PAPER IF EMBARKING ON ANY OF THE NEW VTCT COURSES.
